Varioius cars which are expected to launch

IN the year 2011, more than 50 new cars and variants are expected to hit the Indian market. Many amongst them are brand new or redesigned from the ground up. Chances are that most people haven’t ever seen them before.  The automakers are also chalking out strategies to get the buzz going and bring out some heart stirring cars. Here are some of the eye-catchers of 2011. Maruti Suzuki Kizashi Maruti Suzuki India foray into the luxury D segment with the Kizashi. Powered by a J24B 2.4 litre petrol engine, 4 cylinder, DOHC, the D-segment car’s powertrain is capable of producing peak power of 178 PS at 6,500 rpm for both Manual and Continuously Variable Transmission. The maximum torque from the engine is 230 Nm at 4,000 rpm in both types of transmission. It is the most expensive Maruti Suzuki car on sale in India.  Maruti Suzuki  Cervo Maruti Suzuki, is planning to launch another small car model, Cervo, as an entry level segment in the Indian auto market. Maruti Suzuki may reduce some features from the original model which is available in Japan. It is also expected that after the launch Maruti Cervo will overtake the company’s most popular models Maruti 800 and Maruti Alto. Maruti Suzuki  Swift Maruti Suzuki India will launch the new Swift by the end of 2011. Suzuki has already launched the 3rd Gen Swift in Hungary. The company has said that it will reorient the production of ‘Swift’ and ‘DZiRE’ in its two facilities at Gurgaon and Manesar to enhance output. The new Swift has been launched in the European market and it is available with a wide range of engine options however in the Indian scenario we only get two engine choices. The new body shell would be more tougher and the enhanced wheel base would have more leg room as well. Hyundai Avante Hyundai Motors India has decided to replace Elantra with the all new Hyundai Avante. The Avante might be equipped with a 1.6 litre Gamma petrol engine and a diesel engine variant may follow. The 1.6 litre, DOHC, VVT, 4 cylinder, petrol engine is believed to pump out a top power of 118 bhp at 6200 rpm and churn out a peak torque of 156 Nm at 4200 rpm. The diesel variant of the car is reported to be loaded with a 1582cc, CRDi power-train that belts out a max power of 115 bhp at 4000 rpm and generates maximum torque of 260 nm at 1900 rpm. Both the mills are to be mated with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Chevrolet Sail General Motors will launch Chevrolet Sail in India in 2011. It is one of the four new cars that GM may launch in India in the year 2011. Sail is designed and developed completely in China. It was done so to cut costs of the production. Chevrolet Sail is based on the platform of Opel Corsa. Corsa was earlier being sold in India by GM. Chevrolet Sail may be sold in India with a 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engine. The Nissan NV200 is built on the modified Renault-Nissan B-Alliance platform and will have the 1.5dCi engine (the same engine block used on the Renault Logan). However, the NV200 will produce more power than the Logan. Toyota Etios Liva Toyota Cheapest car for India Etios Liva is expected to launch its hatchback in March 2011. This is the first time that Toyota Motors has pinned its hopes on a low-range model. However, the cost of this hatchback has been reduced with no compromise on safety or comfort. The Liva will be equipped with a 1.2 litre motor will be accompanied with four valves per cylinder for it to breathe better, but despite of all the efficient technology it ends up producing 80 bhp power. Honda Brio Honda’s cheapest car for India Brio displayed at the Thailand Motor Show and it would be coming to India at around October 2011. It has got a 1.2 liter engine which would be good enough for 70 Bhp. Most likely, it would be the Honda Jazz’s unit in a detuned state.
