FADA auto retail conclave inauguration

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) held its second Auto Retail Conclave in the national Capital on September 4.

Besides the heads of industry bodies SIAM, ACMA, FADA and the Australian Dealers Association, dealers from some of the farthest corners of the country - like Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Sikkim, Manipur and Nagaland participated in the conclave.

The conclave expounded the support of the Ministry of Road Transport in achieving transparency in vehicle registration across the segment and in different states, giving a clearer picture of the retail sales figures. FADA reiterated the need of the automotive industry to move to market share by way of vehicle registrations, which is accepted internationally. Additionally, FADA expressed the hope that the latest Government measures will take effect soon and reverse the ongoing slowdown.

Welcoming the members, Mr. Ashish Harsharaj Kale, President, FADA, said, “Despite the current challenges, the dealer business is a long term business, which has supported generations of automobile dealers and our employees and will continue to do so. Having faced an unexpectedly challenging situation, the Auto Retail Conclave today has deliberated on issues, which will strengthen our community and make us future-ready”. Mr Kale further said, “FADA and its members are not afraid of the changing landscape of the mobility solutions. We will whole-heartedly adapt to the changes and support the vision of our Government in becoming a strong self-reliant nation.”
