The launch ceremony

Harley-Davidson on August 27 launched a limited-edition India-inspired paint graphics on its Street 750 to commemorate 10 years of operations in the country.

Only 300 exclusive units of the anniversary edition were made available at a price of Rs 5,47,100. Harley-Davidson’s Street 750 range is the first BSVI-certified motorcycle from the brand in the country.

Harley-Davidson Motor Company also showcased the most anticipated electric vehicle LiveWire on the occasion. The newly launched motorcycle is an exhilarating and evocative new model designed to offer the rider a high-performance motorcycling experience infused with a new level of technology, and premium looks of a Harley-Davidson product.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Sajeev Rajasekharan, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson® India, said, “Upholding the legacy for 10 years in India is just the beginning and we will continue to fuel excitement for motorcycle enthusiasts in the country. As the first manufacturers of electric motorcycle in the premium segment, we are ecstatic to bring the LiveWire for showcase in the country. We will continue to invest in products and experiences to build more riders for Harley-Davidson in line with our More Roads plan.”

On the occasion of celebrating 10 years in the country, Harley-Davidson also announced the launch of ‘10 on 10’ mobile application for H.O.G. members to take the power of the community to the next level. Taking the anniversary celebration to the riders, H-D India also plans to hold Anniversary rides across the country alongside anniversary offers across dealerships.

A special merchandise for the 10th year anniversary will also hit the Harley-Davidson stores shortly. LiveWire will also be showcased at some key dealerships for customer activations, as part of the anniversary celebrations.

The Harley-Davidson LiveWire motorcycle is equipped with a full suite of electronic rider aids and interfaces designed to allow the owner to create a personalised and fully connected riding experience.

The motorcycle is equipped with H-D Connect service technology that provides cellular connectivity that can link a LiveWire owner with their motorcycle through their smart phone using the latest version of the free Harley-Davidson App.

A 4.3-inch color TFT touchscreen (thin-film-transistor, a type of liquid-crystal display noted for high image quality and contrast) located above the handlebar offers the rider a wide range of information on a display that’s bright and easy to read.

The LiveWire model is equipped with Reflex Defensive Rider Systems (RDRS), a collection of technology designed to match motorcycle performance to available traction during acceleration, deceleration and braking. The systems are designed to aid the rider in controlling the vehicle while accelerating and braking in a straight line or while in a turn.

The model offers seven selectable ride modes that electronically control the performance characteristics of the motorcycle and the level of electronic intervention. Four of the modes, Sport, Road, Range and Rain, are pre-programmed and three are customisable by the owner.

On Street 750, one gets the power of the Revolution X engine and the confidence and quick handling of a nimble chassis, dialed-in suspension and optional ABS brakes. Plus, it features a premium tank medallion and two-tone paint option to compliment the silver engine fins and machined highlights on the wheel.

The blacked out, liquid cooled v-twin engine is built to conquer the hot and heavy traffic of urban streets. The sophisticated, factory-installed ABS gives the rider confidence in the saddle. Lifting the H-D Street 750 up off the side stands easy, thanks to its low weight and low centre of gravity.

The vehicle sports an all-black two-into-one exhaust, black cast aluminum wheels, blacked out front-end with a café-inspired speed screen, and a chrome medallion made of steel on the fuel tank.
