Mr Ashok Bhasin

Hero MotoCorp reshuffled the company’s top management with Mr Ashok Bhasin taking charge as Head - Digitisation while Mr Sanjay Bhan will be responsible for Sales and Customer Care along with the Parts Business. The changes were announced by Mr Pawan Munjal, CMD, Hero MotoCorp, in an email to his team and other stakeholders.

Before this appointment, Mr Bhasin was heading the Sales & Customer Care functions of the company for more than three years. Earlier, Mr Bhan headed the Parts Business only. He will assume the additional responsibility of Sales and Customer Care from now on.

In this new role, Mr Bhasin will be responsible for drawing a digital road map for Hero MotoCorp. He will work closely with the CIO and all other functions to build a dynamic and completely future ready digital framework that will enable Hero to march into the next decade and beyond. Before joining Hero MotoCorp, Mr Bhasin was with Reckitt Benckiser, heading their operations in entire Central Africa as General Manager and as Managing Director, RB Nigeria.

In his email, Mr Munjal stated, “Digitisation is making companies improve their competitiveness while setting a strong foundation for the future growth in a steadily evolving manufacturing landscape. It is imperative for Hero MotoCorp to continue its steadfast focus on customers and find new age ways to keep them engaged by stepping up our thrust on digitization.”

Mr Bhan rose from the ranks to be a key member of the leadership team after starting his career in the sales function at the company in Gujarat in 1991. Over the decades, he held various roles in sales and marketing at different times. He eventually went on to head the marketing function, prior to becoming the Head of the Parts Business.
