Hyundai launches New 2019 Elantra

Hyundai Motor on October 3 launched, what it claimed to be, the country’s first connected and hi-tech premium sedan – the New 2019 Elantra. 
 
The car has been designed to offer premium appeal, superior driving experience, and ingenious innovation with Hyundai Blue Link, said a company press release.   
 
Commenting on the launch, Mr SS Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd, said, “The New 2019 Elantra is India’s first connected and hi-tech premium sedan offering all-round excellence and great experience. The New 2019 Elantra is powered with BS-VI petrol engine delivering unmatched performance. An epitome of finesse, the New 2019 Hyundai Elantra will create a new benchmark in the Indian premium sedan segment and once again supersede all customers’ expectations.” 
 
The company release said , the New 2019 Elantra is an amalgamation of opulence with intelligent driving dynamics catered to meet the needs of progressive Indians who seek future technology, space, comfort, safety and ergonomics with a new approach. The development direction of the New 2019 Elantra, it said, is defined by premium appeal, superior driving experience, and ingenious innovation with seamless connectivity. The sedan is a technology marvel offering all- round excellence and great experience.
 
The New 2019 Elantra is defined by three key Values: premium design, all-round experience and advanced technology. It conveys a sportier, grander and irresistible design language. With a strong character - The modern and bold exteriors of the New 2019 Elantra make it a stunner on the road. It has retained the elegance of the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design, in addition to a bold and dynamic design aesthetics with dominant new front grille, more dynamic headlamps and tail lamps, coupe roofline, new front bumper design. 
 
The design of the New 2019 Elantra exhibits reassured body forms, delivering a new interpretation of Hyundai’s signature design language. 
 
The sporty rear combination LED tail lamps with a unique emblem layout gives it an elegant statement.
 
The interior design is more evolved and speaks of opulence; a driver-centric ergonomic design is curated to enhance the driving pleasure, the center fascia being one of them that highlight plush interiors. The new Instrument cluster with colored multi-information display enhances the overall sense of style of the vehicle. The car is available in five exterior colours.
 
It is powered with 2.0l Nu Petrol Engine (BS-6) with six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions. According to the company, the New 2019 Elantra is a result of constant and path-breaking innovation to assure passenger and pedestrian with utmost safety. It boasts of advanced safety features providing the best-in-class safety elements for a stress-free driving. From emergency stop signal to hill assist control, tyre pressure monitoring system with display on MID, electronic stability control and vehicle stability management, the New 2019 Elantra ensures a safe and secure ride. Additionally, standard ABS with EBD, six airbags and rear parking sensors provide uncompromised safety. 
 
The New 2019 Elantra is equipped with balanced suspension system and confident steering to enhance ride comfort and ease of manoeuvrability to suit the Indian road conditions. It comes with a host of pioneering features including first-in-segment front ventilated seats and wireless smartphone charger, smart electric sunroof, and auto cruise control.
 
The sedan, according to the company, is a technology marvel offering all-round excellence and great experience. It said the New 2019 Elantra is India’s first connected sedan with the most advanced connectivity solution- ‘Hyundai Blue Link’ which has an in-built and tamper-proof device powered by Vodafone-Idea eSIM and a Cloud-based voice recognition platform from global AI company – Sound Hound. 
 
The New 2019 Elantra is equipped with 34 features, including 10 exclusive India-specific features which are classified under seven services in the form of safety, security, remote operations, vehicle relationship management, geographic information services, alert services and voice recognition. 
 
Hyundai has installed Blue Link simulation app across dealerships to give its customers a connected in-car experience. 
 
The car comes with three years Hyundai Premium Assurance Package which comprises three years/unlimited km warranty and three years roadside assistance.
