Mr Manav Kapur

Automotive components manufacturer Steelbird International and Japan-based producer of rubber components, Fujikura Rubber Limited, have joined hands to offer best-in-class solutions to OEMs and aftermarket.

“Fujikura is competent with R&D facilities. Marketing and sales are our core strengths which mean that we are the best fit for each other. From expanding the customer base to fulfilling the OEM market’s requirements, we will focus on utilising each other’s expertise and experience to cater to the market with high value-added products,” said Mr Manav Kapur, Executive Director, Steelbird International.

The strategic tie-up is going to be a win-win for partners and clients. Fujikura Rubber is striving to enter the OEM market with its wide-ranging rubber components and rubber dia-frames. The extensive network and reach of Steelbird International will enable Fujikura to enter new markets. The collaboration would not only lead to their cumulative growth but also allow them to serve customers closely.

The Indian auto components market is undergoing a rapid transformation and the domestic market players are responding meaningfully through strategic initiatives. Long-term partnership and tie-ups with overseas institutions are one of the ways in which this is being done. The coming together of Steelbird and Fujikura is the latest development in this aspect.

Steelbird International has its manufacturing facilities at Pantnagar in Uttarakhand, which is spread over 1,00,000 sqft. The company is growing both vertically and horizontally, with the establishment of Pant Nagar plant with per day capacity of 40, 000 new-generation filters. The company with 900 employees has an all-India network of dealers to ensure easy availability of its products.

Fujikura Rubbers has 2,345 employees and 16 group companies
