Triumph winter ride

British premium motorcycle brand, Triumph Motorcycles, recently concluded the first edition of its winter ride - Adventure Trails Zanskar.

The ride adds a new feather in the hat for Triumph Motorcycles, as this is the first time a premium motorcycle brand has ridden across the Shinku-la pass in Zanskar valley via the newly opened Darcha- Padum route.

The seven-day motorcycle tour had 10 participants from across the country, braving high intensity winds and extreme temperatures  riding across snow, sand, ice and off-road trails, some of which are also part of the Raid-De-Himalaya route.

The ride was flagged off on October 14 from Manali covering Rohtang La, Keylong, Jispa, Padum and eventually concluding in Manali on October 20.  In addition to being the first premium brand to cross over Shinku La, the highlight of the ride was camping at Suraal glacier which was set up exclusively for participants of Adventure Trail Zanskar.

On the occasion of the completion of the ride, Mr. Shoeb Farooq, GM, Triumph Motorcycles India, said: “Triumph is the first brand to establish the premium Adventure touring culture in India. Each year, we look at expanding our riding calendar and with the Zanskar ride, we’ve set a benchmark like never before. This was by far one of our most adventurous rides offering an unparalleled experience to participants right from crossing Shinkula entering Padum, to camping at Suraal glacier. The latter being the most mesmerizing in my opinion. We like to offer our customers off the beaten track experiences and with the New Year, we look forward to raising this benchmark to a much higher bar in terms of adventure motorcycle tours in India”.
