Honda India Foundation signs MoU with Gujarat’s Centre for Entrepreneurship Development

Honda India Foundation (HIF), with a ₹1 crore investment in the first year, has launched a Skill Enhancement Program to train and place 700 youth through job-oriented vocational courses. The initiative focuses on workplace readiness, confidence, and entrepreneurial thinking, aiming to boost employability and support socio-economic growth. This program reflects HIF’s ongoing commitment to education, skill development, and empowering communities across India.

As part of ongoing efforts to empower youth through skill development, Honda India Foundation (HIF), the CSR arm for all Honda group of companies in India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Government of Gujarat to launch a Skill Enhancement Program at Ganpat University, Mehsana, Gujarat.

The MoU signing ceremony was graced by Sh. Bhupendrabhai Rajnikant Patel, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri. Rajeev Taneja, Operating Officer, Honda India Foundation and Shri. Manish Dua, Operating Officer, Vithalapur Plant. The program is designed to bridge the gap between education and employment, providing youth with practical, industry-relevant training.

With an investment of ₹1crore in the first year, the program aims to train and place 700 youth through job-oriented vocational courses. The program emphasises workplace readiness, confidence and entrepreneurial thinking, enabling participants to explore multiple career pathways and contribute effectively to the economic growth. By creating employment opportunities and strengthening the regional talent pool, the initiative also supports socio-economic progress and community development.

The Skill Enhancement Program builds upon HIF’s commitment to supporting education, employability and community welfare across India. HIF has consistently undertaken such initiatives that help communities become self-reliant by developing their skills and capabilities.
