TVS Motor Company and Aegis Rider Unveil AR Heads-Up Display Helmet at EICMA 2025

The Aegis Rider HUD AR Helmet uses AR and spatial anchoring to display navigation, hazard alerts, and calls in the rider’s line of sight, enhancing safety and situational awareness, with live demos on the TVS RTR 310 showcasing its smart riding and connected mobility features.

TVS Motor Company, a global leader in two- and three-wheeler manufacturing, has partnered with Swiss startup Aegis Rider to showcase a revolutionary ride-assist innovation at EICMA 2025, the world’s largest two-wheeler exhibition. At the TVS pavilion, the companies presented the Heads-Up Display (HUD) AR Helmet featuring TVS branding as part of the TVS Connect section.

The Aegis Rider HUD AR Helmet uses spatial anchoring and augmented reality (AR) technology to display critical information directly in the rider’s line of sight. This first-of-its-kind patented technology delivers real-time navigation, hazard alerts, and call notifications without distracting the rider, enhancing both situational awareness and safety.

Live demonstrations on the TVS RTR 310 motorcycle allow visitors to experience how this cutting-edge helmet technology is set to redefine smart riding and connected mobility.

The collaboration between TVS Motor Company and Aegis Rider marks a significant step in enhancing ride assistance technologies. The HUD Helmet employs augmented reality to project real-time essential data—navigation cues, vehicle speed, and alerts—directly in the rider’s line of sight. This spatially anchored display reduces distractions by allowing riders to keep their eyes on the road, increasingly critical for urban and highway commuters alike.

The Aegis Rider HUD Helmet combines a magnetic binocular AR glass and µOLED projector tightly embedded within a tough, carbon fiber shell, featuring adaptive brightness and anti-glare properties for clear visibility in varied lighting conditions. Powered by a Qualcomm processor and a robust 7,000mAh rechargeable battery lasting four hours, the system smoothly connects wirelessly to both motorcycle infotainment and smartphones. Riders receive real time navigation, call and message alerts, music control, and an integrated 5MP action camera for capturing every journey. The helmet meets global safety certifications, including ECE 22.06 and DOT, assuring premium protection beside its innovative digital features.

Simon Hecker, founder and CEO, Aegis Rider said, “We have been working relentlessly for the past 5 years to achieve a breakthrough in technology that enables the anchoring of information in space to the motorcycle rider. In our standalone helmet, we show information that is typically shown on the motorcycle dashboard in a head-up display to the rider, which stays in front of the motorcycle independent of the head and motorcycle movements. In the integrated version that will be available together with TVS & Norton, we unlock additional information from the motorcycle such as turn signals, RPM, fuel level, gear position, and many more that are available on the motorcycle.”

The Aegis Rider HUD AR Helmet is displayed within the TVS Connect zone where attendees get first hand insights into the seamless integration of AR technology enhancing everyday ride assistance and intelligence. TVS’s partnership with Aegis Rider emphasizes its commitment to smarter mobility solutions, marrying engineering excellence with cutting-edge innovation to benefit riders worldwide.

Upcoming developments will expand features to include ride assistance, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) connectivity, and cloud-based ride analytics, reflecting the company’s commitment to continuous innovation and global expansion with Aegis Rider’s advanced AR systems.

The alliance builds on the foundation set by TVS Motor Company in recent years towards redefining connectivity for two-wheeler riders to make the vehicles more intuitive and convenient. TVS Connect zone prominently features the TVS X, India’s first Android Auto integrated electric scooter that has been created in partnership with Google. Riders benefit from wireless pairing, seamless navigation, hands-free communication, and infotainment via Google Assistant—connecting both work and leisure for a modern, effortless riding experience.

Also on display is the whole suite of TVS Connected Services that make daily commutes more convenient and safer with the company’s holistic integration of smart watches, phones, vehicles, and at-home devices, offering riders unmatched convenience, safety, and personalized solutions.
