
BYD India, a subsidiary of BYD, the world’s leading New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturer, has announced a price increase of ₹50,000 for the BYD SEALION 7 Premium variant, effective January 1, 2026. The Performance variant will continue at its current price, with no revision announced.
To ensure transparency and provide planning certainty for customers, BYD India has confirmed that all bookings made on or before December 31, 2025, will be honoured at the existing ex-showroom prices. This allows prospective buyers an opportunity to secure the BYD SEALION 7 ahead of the price revision.

The price adjustment reflects the sustained investment in technology, safety and customer experience infrastructure, while reinforcing long-term product value for customers.

The BYD SEALION 7 remains a strong value offering, backed by its advanced electric architecture, high performance and comprehensive safety package. Since its launch, the BYD SEALION 7 has crossed 2,300 units in sales across India, reinforcing the growing acceptance and demand for premium electric SUVs in the market.”
Further strengthening its premium positioning, BYD India has received recognition for Excellence in Battery Technology by Motoring World, highlighting BYD’s leadership in advanced and safe EV battery innovation. BYD SEALION 7 has also been awarded Luxury Mid-Size SUV – The One That Matters (TOTM) by Acko Drive, reinforcing its strong appeal among discerning premium electric SUV customers in India.
Built on BYD’s Cell-to-Body (CTB) architecture and powered by the Blade Battery, the BYD SEALION 7 offers enhanced structural safety, cabin space and driving dynamics. The model features an 82.56 kWh battery pack, and holds a 5-Star Euro NCAP safety rating. The Performance variant delivers 390 kW of power and 690 Nm of torque, reaching 0–100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. The Premium variant produces 230 kW and 380 Nm, with a 0–100 km/h acceleration of 6.7 seconds. Certified range figures extend up to 567 km (NEDC) on a full charge.
Alongside the pricing update, BYD India continues its customer-centric programme – One BYD Infinite Connections, a unique customer gratification initiative offering select winners an opportunity to visit BYD’s NEV innovation and testing facilities in Zhengzhou, China. The programme reinforces BYD’s focus on building long-term customer relationships and rewarding loyalty.
BYD India currently supports customers through an expanding national network of 47 showrooms across 40 cities, providing sales, service and charging guidance.
