BMW Group India has announced the much-anticipated return of the BMW M Drift Academy, now expanded into a larger and more dynamic experience for 2026. Designed to elevate performance driving in India, this year’s edition will bring the adrenaline-fueled drifting experience to four major cities — Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi.
The BMW M Drift Academy continues to stand as a one-of-its-kind platform that combines motorsport passion with responsible driving. Participants get the opportunity to experience the thrill of drifting in a controlled environment, guided by BMW’s uncompromising safety standards and the #DriftResponsibly philosophy.

Learn the Art of Controlled Performance
The BMW M Drift Academy invites enthusiasts to master the art of controlled drifting with the iconic BMW M2 and BMW M4 over an intensive two-day program. The course blends classroom learning with extensive track sessions, creating a perfect balance between theory and hands-on experience.
Participants will be trained by certified BMW instructors through a structured curriculum that includes:
- Familiarisation with BMW M vehicle features
- Controlling a drift
- Throttle control techniques
- Maintaining and exiting a drift
- Half circle drift and stylish exit
- Full circle drift (clockwise and anticlockwise)
- Maintaining full circle drift
- Transition drifting on a figure-8
Drivers who successfully complete the program will receive certification and earn the Drift Pilot – Red Badge of Honour, marking the beginning of their journey toward the prestigious Drift Marshal title.
BMW M After Party: Celebrating the M Spirit
Beyond the track, the BMW M After Party transforms the experience into a vibrant celebration of the M lifestyle. Enthusiasts and fans can enjoy live music, gourmet cuisine, drift showcases and high-energy performances, bringing together the passionate BMW M community.
Enrollment for the BMW M Drift Academy is available through authorised BMW dealerships across India, as well as via DISTRICT by Zomato. With limited slots to ensure focused training, the participation fee is set at ₹1 lakh. Entry to the BMW M After Party can be purchased exclusively through DISTRICT by Zomato.
