Kia India, one of the country’s leading mass-premium automakers, has launched the Syros EV, its second made-in-India mass-market electric vehicle, with introductory prices starting at ₹13.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 42 kWh variant and ₹16.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 51.4 kWh Extended Range variant.
With the launch of the Syros EV, Kia aims to make electric mobility more accessible by combining competitive pricing with one of the industry’s most comprehensive ownership packages. The company is offering an industry-leading Assured Buyback programme, Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, and a Lifetime High-Voltage Battery Warranty, providing customers with greater affordability, peace of mind, and long-term ownership confidence.
The Syros EV is scheduled to go on sale across Kia dealerships nationwide from July 30, 2026, further strengthening the brand’s presence in India’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle market.
The Syros EV reflects Kia India’s belief that accelerating EV adoption takes more than a strong product, it takes real confidence and value across the entire ownership journey. Built in India, the Syros EV brings together progressive design, segment-leading performance with the backing of one of the most comprehensive EV ownership ecosystems in its class.
Commenting on the launch, Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO of Kia India, said the Syros EV has been developed with a customer-first approach, aimed at making electric mobility more accessible without compromising on performance, technology, or ownership experience.
He highlighted that, in addition to its competitive pricing, the Syros EV offers one of the industry’s strongest ownership packages, including an Assured Buyback programme with up to 80% resale value, a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option that lowers the initial cost of EV ownership, and a Lifetime High-Voltage Battery Warranty to address long-term concerns around battery reliability.
Lee added that the Syros EV combines a claimed driving range of up to 526 km, 171 PS of power, advanced technology features, and Kia’s expanding EV ecosystem to deliver a compelling ownership experience. He said the model reflects Kia India’s commitment to accelerating the country’s transition to sustainable mobility while keeping customer needs at the forefront of product development.
Industry-Leading Ownership Benefits
Kia has introduced a comprehensive ownership package for the Syros EV to make electric mobility more affordable and hassle-free. The SUV is available with the company’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme, allowing customers to finance the vehicle and battery separately. This enables ownership from ₹7.99 lakh, with a transparent battery subscription cost of ₹3.3 per kilometre. The Syros EV also comes with a 15-year, unlimited-kilometre Lifetime High-Voltage Battery Warranty, offering long-term peace of mind. To further boost customer confidence, Kia is offering an industry-best Assured Buyback Programme, guaranteeing up to 80% resale value after three years, along with the My Convenience e-Plus package that combines maintenance, extended warranty and roadside assistance.
Performance and Electric Powertrain
The Syros EV is available with 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery packs, delivering an ARAI-certified driving range of 443 km and a segment-leading 526 km, respectively. It is the first vehicle in its segment to offer a claimed range of over 500 km. The SUV supports 100 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10–80% charge in just 39 minutes, while battery conditioning technology ensures faster charging in different weather conditions. Built on Kia’s reinforced K1 platform, the Syros EV produces 171 PS of power and accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 8.1 seconds with the larger battery pack. It also features an IP67-rated NMC battery, liquid-cooled thermal management and EV-specific technologies such as regenerative braking with i-Pedal, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), Virtual Engine Sound System (VESS), Battery Heating System and Shift-by-Wire.
Nationwide Charging Network for Everyday Confidence
At the heart of the Syros EV’s ownership experience is K-Charge, Kia India’s EV charging ecosystem accessible through the MyKia app and Kia India website. Bringing together over 20,300 charging points from the country’s top 23 Charge Point Operators onto a single platform, K-Charge lets drivers find, navigate to and pay for charging through one unified wallet — removing the uncertainty from everyday charging, and range anxiety along with it. Backing this on the ground is a growing network of 129+ Kia dealerships equipped with high-capacity DC fast chargers, alongside 275+ EV-ready workshops, so customers have reliable charging and service support wherever they travel. This is part of Kia’s ever-growing service network of 900+ Customer Touchpoints across 400 Cities.

Inspired by Kia’s Global EV design philosophy, the Syros EV personifies a bold, upright SUV identity with distinctive EV-specific styling: Ice Cube MFR LED headlamps, Standard front LED Fog Lamps, Star Map LED daytime running lamps with integrated turn indicators along with Kia’s Signature Digital Tiger Face. The rear Star Map LED tail lamps, first-in-segment Auto Streamline Door Handles and R17 – 43.66 cm (17-inch) Crystal Cut Dual-Tone Aero Alloy Wheels (with a 16-inch wheel option), further add to Syros EV’s modern appearance.
