Prime Industries Ltd. has announced the appointment of Deepak Handa as a Director of the company. The appointment comes as Prime Industries advances plans to establish an R&D incubation centre focused on developing and designing components for its Special Purpose Division (SPD).
Handa brings more than 25 years of experience in the automotive and engineering sectors, with expertise spanning operations, business development and manufacturing. His appointment is expected to add technical knowledge, manufacturing expertise and execution capabilities to Prime Industries’ leadership team.
Prime Industries already holds majority and minority interests in companies operating in high-precision engineering and the nuclear sector. The company is now working to expand its capabilities in specialised engineering and indigenous industrial technologies for defence, nuclear power and emerging manufacturing applications.
Throughout his career, Handa has worked with leading automotive and engineering organisations, building experience in technical operations, customer-focused business development and operational management. A significant part of his professional journey has focused on business transformation, operational improvement and strengthening manufacturing capabilities.
Currently serving as Technical Director – Operations & Business Development at Omega Bright Steel, Deepak is responsible for driving strategic initiatives across manufacturing operations, leading various plants on multiple locations.
Deepak brings extensive experience in the automotive components and precision manufacturing sector, having previously held leadership and technical positions with organizations like Sawraj (PTL), Automotive Tube Manufacturing Industries, precision steel tubes, SS hoses, fuel & oil hoses, hydraulic hoses, exhaust system, sheet metal components , precision automotive & non-automotive machining components and EV projects other automotive products supplied to leading domestic and international OEMs.
In his past working Deepak has also played an important role in establishing and strengthening quality management systems and certification frameworks, with hands-on experience in IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. He has worked with reputed certification bodies including TÜV, BSI, DNV, Vincotte and BVQI, and has successfully supported multiple certification and audit programs across organizations.
His professional journey also includes international exposure through business and technical interactions in Japan, China, Thailand, and Taiwan, providing him with valuable insight into global operational manufacturing and quality practices.
