Tesla opens first charging station in Gurugram, Strengthens India EV infrastructure

New V4 Supercharger facility at DLF Horizon Center boosts Tesla’s charging network across Gurugram, Delhi and Mumbai

Tesla has inaugurated its first charging station in Gurugram, marking a significant step in the expansion of its electric vehicle infrastructure across India. The new facility is located at the surface parking area of DLF Horizon Center.

The Gurugram charging hub features four V4 Superchargers offering peak charging speeds of up to 250 kW, along with three Destination Chargers delivering 11 kW output. Tesla claims that a Model Y can gain up to 275 km of range in just 15 minutes using the Superchargers.

According to the company, Tesla’s global charging network operates with an industry-leading 99.95% uptime. Customers can manage their charging sessions via the Tesla mobile app, which enables navigation to charging locations, real-time charger availability, monitoring of charging progress, payment processing and notifications upon completion.

With the Gurugram launch, Tesla now operates three charging stations in India, with a total of 12 Superchargers and 10 Destination Chargers spread across Gurugram, Delhi and Mumbai. The Delhi facility at Worldmark 3 is equipped with four Superchargers and three Destination Chargers, while the Mumbai station at One BKC houses four Superchargers and four Destination Chargers.

To familiarise customers with its charging technology and electric mobility solutions, Tesla is hosting interactive workshops from December 17 to 21 at the Horizon Center location.

Tesla’s Model Y is currently on sale in India, priced from ₹59.89 lakh, with home charging support included for buyers.

The opening of the charging station follows the recent launch of Tesla’s Gurugram centre at Orchid Business Park. The company also operates additional experience centres in Aerocity, Delhi, and Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, reinforcing its growing footprint in the Indian EV market.
