TKM achieves full carbon neutrality

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has achieved 100 per cent renewable energy from June 2021 which includes TKM manufacturing plant at Bidadi and eight on-site supplier Companies.

The feat has resulted in offsetting carbon of 16,635.54 tonnes (cumulative April’21 to Sept’21) which underscores the company’s strong commitment towards conserving the ecosystem throughout the entire lifecycle of products, operations and services, said a press release.

In 2015, Toyota globally announced the ‘Toyota Environment Challenge 2050’. The holistic vision aims to achieve net zero CO2 from the products, across lifecycle and manufacturing.

Mr. Raju B.
