Chief Minister of Delhi Shri. Arvind Kejriwal flagged off JBM ECO-LIFE 100% electric bus on trial run on 17th January from Indraprastha Bus Depot. The trial run is in line with Delhi’s plans to induct electric buses for public transportation in the state. The bus will be on trial on Route E44 (Pragati Maidan to IP Depot via ITO, Safdarjung, Ashram) of 27 Km. JBM has also set up the bus charging facility at the Indraprastha depot for the purpose with a fast-charging station that will facilitate seamless trial run of the electric bus.
ECO-LIFE electric bus, a Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV), manufactured by JBM Auto Ltd. saves around 1000 equivalent tons of carbon dioxide and 350,000 litres of diesel over 10 years of operation. This is a huge evolution from how public transportation operates in India. Real Time Passenger Information System shall keep the location of the bus updated for the passengers traveling in the bus. Passengers can use the stop request button to alert the driver to stop the bus at the upcoming bus stop.
