Switch double-decker bus to boost Chennai’s Heritage Tourism

Ashok Leyland, with Switch Mobility and Tamil NRIs, gifted a double-decker bus to Tamil Nadu Tourism. Inaugurated by CM M.K. Stalin, it connects Chennai’s heritage sites, promoting immersive tourism and Sustainable Urban Mobility.

Ashok Leyland, the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group and a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, in collaboration with Switch Mobility and Tamil NRIs in the United States, has gifted a double-decker bus to the Tamil Nadu Tourism Department.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin, inaugurated Chennai’s new double-decker tourism bus service, which will provide connectivity to the city’s iconic landmarks and heritage sites.

This initiative is designed to offer residents and tourists an engaging and immersive experience of Chennai’s rich cultural and architectural heritage, while promoting sustainable and modern urban mobility solutions.

The project reflects Ashok Leyland’s ongoing commitment to sustainable transportation and reinforces its long-standing partnership with Tamil Nadu in driving innovation and growth in public and tourist transit.
