TATA.ev accelerates India’s EV Transition with launch of 10 High-Speed MegaChargers

TATA.ev MegaChargers offer ultra-fast charging (minimum 120 kW) at key city and highway locations, providing a reliable and convenient experience with curated amenities. TATA.ev customers benefit from up to 25% tariff discounts, priority service, and access to partner CPO chargers through the iRA.ev app. The network ensures 24×7 customer support, real-time charger monitoring, and on-site assistance at select locations for a seamless and premium EV charging experience.

TATA.ev, India’s leading four-wheeler EV manufacturer and a key driver of the country’s electric mobility revolution, has inaugurated its first 10 high-speed TATA.ev MegaChargers. Launched in collaboration with ChargeZone and Statiq, this initiative follows the brand’s recent pledge to expand India’s EV charging infrastructure by more than doubling charge points to 400,000 by 2027.

As part of its ‘Open Collaboration’ framework, TATA.ev has forged strong partnerships with multiple Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs). This collaborative approach is rapidly expanding the charging network across strategic locations, with a special focus on highways, to enable smooth and reliable long-distance EV travel.

The TATA.ev MegaCharger network stands as a flagship initiative within this strategy—offering ultra-fast charging, enhanced convenience, and robust reliability. This development marks a major step forward in strengthening India’s EV ecosystem and supporting the nation’s transition toward clean and connected mobility.

Elated at introducing the first 10 TATA.ev MegaCharger sites, Balaje Rajan, Chief Strategy Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., said, “At a time when EV adoption is on its growth path, ubiquitous and dependable charging infrastructure is the need of the hour. These first 10 TATA.ev MegaCharger sites in key EV corridors of the country are the first tranche of a superfast charging network that we will have across major highways. The TATA.ev MegaCharger network will increasingly connect all major cities across India to remove charging anxiety. We are on a mission to provide fast, reliable, and effortless charging that enables seamless mobility across the country – and we are just getting started.”

TATA.ev has launched the first phase of its MegaCharger network with 10 strategically located high-speed charging stations across key highways and urban centers in India, as part of its commitment to install 500 MegaChargers nationwide. These high-capacity chargers are designed for fast, accessible, and premium EV charging experiences, especially in high-density EV zones.

  • Mumbai–Ahmedabad Highway: Three chargers at Vadodara (400 kW, charges 6 vehicles), Vapi, and Ghodbunder (up to 120 kW), spaced 150–200 km apart with rest and dining facilities.
  • Delhi–Jaipur Highway: Four chargers at Gurugram, Kaprivas, Hamzapur, and Shahpura (each 120 kW), spaced every 60 km, located at popular food and hospitality hubs.
  • Pune–Nashik Highway: One charger at Rajgurunagar (120 kW), placed mid-way to ensure smooth intercity travel.
