Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV), one of India’s leading automobile manufacturers, has expanded its purpose-built XPRES fleet portfolio with the launch of Petrol and CNG variants, complementing the popular XPRES EV and addressing a wider market. This launch reinforces TMPV’s multi-powertrain strategy, focused on delivering customised, high-uptime mobility solutions for professional fleet operators across India.
Bookings for the XPRES Petrol and CNG are now open across authorised fleet dealerships, with best-in-class pricing starting at ₹5.59 lakh for the Petrol variant and ₹6.59 lakh for the CNG variant (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Both variants are powered by TMPV’s proven 1.2L Revotron engine paired with a manual transmission, engineered for reliability, durability, and sustained fleet operations. Designed specifically for professional mobility, the XPRES CNG features a first-in-segment 70L (water capacity) twin-cylinder CNG tank—the highest in its segment—offering extended range between refuelling stops. The intelligent twin-cylinder layout also ensures best-in-segment, uncompromised boot space, addressing a key challenge for fleet operators by minimising luggage-related booking losses and maximising revenue potential.
Additionally, the XPRES Petrol offers the largest boot space in the petrol fleet sedan segment, at 419 litres, further enhancing its suitability for commercial use.
Speaking about enhancing the Tata XPRES line up, Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said, “Tata XPRES was created to address the real operating challenges faced by fleet customers, including passengers and owners. Responding to the needs of our fleet customers, we are elated to introduce the first-in-segment 70-litre twin-cylinder CNG variant with best-in-segment usable boot space, alongside a petrol variant with the largest boot space. Built on our proven 1.2-litre Revotron powertrain and supported by long-term warranty, tailored finance and dedicated fleet dealerships, Tata XPRES fleet with its complete range of electric and ICE powertrains will offer a complete, future-ready mobility platform to our customers, in turn expanding our market share across India’s commercial mobility landscape.”
To further enhance peace of mind for operators, the XPRES ICE fleet will come with a standard warranty of 3 years or 1,00,000 km (whichever is earlier), extendable up to 5 years or 1,80,000 km (whichever is earlier). Additionally at a low maintenance cost of ₹0.47/km, along with attractive finance solutions tailored for fleet customers, the XPRES in Petrol and CNG is undoubtedly the best buy in this segment.
Adding to the entire package, TMPV has also established exclusive, fleet-focused dealerships across select cities, offering dedicated sales and service infrastructure designed to meet the specific needs of commercial customers. This ensures faster turnaround, higher vehicle availability and consistent support across the vehicle lifecycle. With this expanded portfolio, Tata XPRES fleet (Petrol, CNG and EV) opens up significant growth opportunities across high-volume, high-utilisation segments including airport transfers, cab aggregators, intercity operations, employee transportation, rent-a-car services and tourist taxi operators.
