Uno Minda to set up ₹200 Cr Two-Wheeler Alloy Wheel Plant in Haryana

Uno Minda is funding its expansion through internal accruals and debt, driven by strong order inflows and growing demand. It has also commenced commercial production at its expanded Supa facility, adding 2 million units to annual capacity—a project announced in May 2024.

Uno Minda Ltd has announced a ₹200 crore investment to establish a new two-wheeler alloy wheel manufacturing facility in Bawal, Haryana. Approved by the Board, the plant will have an annual capacity of 1.5 million wheels and is expected to begin operations by Q2 FY27.

The investment will be funded through internal accruals and debt. The move follows strong order inflows and rising demand in the segment. In parallel, Uno Minda has started commercial production at its expanded facility in Supa, Maharashtra, adding 2 million units to its yearly output—a project first announced in May 2024.

Uno Minda entered the two-wheeler alloy wheel segment in FY 2021 by establishing a greenfield facility in Supa, Maharashtra, with an initial production capacity of 4 million wheels. Since then, the company has nearly doubled this capacity to 8 million units.

With the recent addition of a new facility in Bawal, Uno Minda’s total installed capacity for two-wheeler alloy wheels will reach approximately 9.5 million units annually, further solidifying its market position.

These strategic capacity expansions are in line with the government’s Make in India initiative, as Uno Minda continues to reduce the country’s reliance on imported two-wheeler alloy wheels through sustained investment and a strong emphasis on localization.

Established in 1958, Uno Minda is a global automotive components manufacturer with 74 plants in six countries and 37 R&D centers.
