The new HD Surround-View Camera production line was officially inaugurated on April 3, 2026, by Marc Vrecko, CEO of Valeo Brain Division. This expansion highlights Valeo’s continued focus on scaling localized production of advanced vision systems and supporting the evolving mobility landscape in India.

The newly commissioned assembly line will support high-volume manufacturing of next-generation vision camera systems for major automotive OEMs in India. These advanced systems are designed to enhance driver assistance capabilities, improve road safety, and support the increasing adoption of autonomous and semi-autonomous driving technologies across the market.

In addition to vision cameras, the Sanand facility is set to evolve into a multi-technology hub. Valeo plans to scale up production of advanced automotive displays and telematics control units at the site, further expanding its local manufacturing footprint.

This strategic expansion will enable Valeo to meet growing demand for digital cockpit solutions, connected vehicle technologies, and advanced driver assistance systems, strengthening the company’s position in India’s rapidly evolving automotive technology ecosystem.

Marc Vrecko, Valeo BRAIN Division CEO said: “The inauguration of this new camera line at our Sanand facility is a proud moment for our team and a proof to our dedication to the Indian market. By localizing the production of these highly complex, advanced vision systems, we are not only streamlining our supply chain but also accelerating the delivery of world-class safety technologies to our partners.”

Jayakumar G, Group President & Managing Director Valeo India stated: “We are scaling our product portfolio in Sanand, India. This investment in a state of the art surround-view camera line underscores our commitment to localizing high-tech solutions. It strengthens our ADAS manufacturing capabilities and R&D and ensures we continue to meet our customers’ evolving needs.”

With this inauguration, Valeo further solidifies its position as a key enabler of intelligent mobility, bringing cutting-edge technology closer to consumers and OEMs and contributes to India’s vision of becoming a global hub for automotive innovation and manufacturing. While high-volume hardware manufacturing takes place at the Sanand facility, the advanced software and intelligence driving these sensors are developed at Valeo’s R&D hub in Chennai.

Crucially, the facility will spearhead the manufacturing of critical components for both Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and cutting-edge Advanced Rider Assistance Systems (ARAS).

India has been identified as a priority in Valeo ‘Elevate 2028’ strategic plan. By combining high-volume, localized manufacturing with dedicated regional R&D, Valeo is perfectly positioned to shape the future of driving and riding in India, delivering world-class, future-ready technologies to OEMs and consumers alike.
