Ducati has launched the Panigale V4 Tricolore in India, introducing a highly exclusive, limited-edition superbike priced at ₹77 lakh (ex-showroom). Production is capped at 1,000 numbered units globally, with only a limited allocation earmarked for the Indian market.
Positioned as a collector-focused evolution of the Panigale V4, the Tricolore marks the first time Ducati has equipped a Tricolore model with track-oriented performance hardware. The motorcycle pays homage to Ducati’s racing heritage, drawing inspiration from the Ducati 750 F1 (1984) and continuing the Tricolore lineage that began with the 851 Desmoquattro in 1988.
The Panigale V4 Tricolore features an exclusive asymmetric Tricolore livery, designed by Aldo Drudi in collaboration with Centro Stile Ducati. The design blends the Italian flag colours with motorsport-inspired elements, including a chequered flag motif on the lower fairing. Race-style number plates featuring the number ‘1’ appear on the front and side fairings, reinforcing its competition DNA.
Based on the latest seventh-generation Panigale V4 platform, the Tricolore incorporates a revised chassis, updated aerodynamics, and advanced electronic systems such as Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) and Race eCBS.
For the first time on a Tricolore model, Ducati has added dedicated track-focused equipment. The motorcycle is fitted with five-spoke carbon fibre wheels, reducing weight by approximately 0.9 kg compared to the Panigale V4 S and lowering the moment of inertia by 12% at the front and 19% at the rear.
It is also the first production motorcycle globally to feature Ducati’s Front Brake Pro system, comprising 338.5 mm Brembo T-Drive finned discs paired with Brembo Hypure calipers. The setup, derived from World Superbike Championship technology, was tested during the 2024 Race of Champions and is complemented by a Brembo MCS 19.21 master cylinder with remote lever adjustment.
Standard equipment includes a dry clutch, billet aluminium adjustable footpegs, GPS module, Alcantara seat, racing windscreen, and a dedicated dashboard animation at start-up. Ducati also supplies track-only components such as a billet aluminium racing fuel cap, carbon fibre brake cooling ducts, an open carbon clutch cover, and a licence plate removal kit, which are not road homologated.
Each Panigale V4 Tricolore features a billet aluminium steering plate engraved with the model name and production number, along with a matching numbered ignition key. Owners receive a certificate of authenticity, a bespoke motorcycle cover, and a customised storage box. Ducati is also offering a limited-edition jacket designed to match the motorcycle’s livery.
Power comes from Ducati’s 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine, producing 216 hp at 13,500 rpm and 90 ft-lb of torque at 11,250 rpm. Suspension duties are handled by Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES) 3.0 with Öhlins Smart EC 3.0, featuring an NPX-30 pressurised front fork and TTX36 rear shock. The motorcycle has a wet weight (without fuel) of 188 kg, making it around 3 kg lighter than the Panigale V4 S.
Commenting on the launch, Bipul Chandra, Managing Director, Ducati India, said the Panigale V4 Tricolore underlines Ducati’s focus on exclusive, high-performance limited editions aimed at discerning enthusiasts and collectors.
Bookings for the Ducati Panigale V4 Tricolore are now open, with deliveries expected to remain limited due to the restricted allocation for India.
