Mercedes-Benz launches All-New V-Class Extra LWB in India at ₹1.4 Crore; Local production confirmed

The V-Class becomes the second model announced for local production this year after the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, underlining Mercedes-Benz India’s strategic investment in the Indian luxury car market.

India’s most desirable luxury carmaker, Mercedes-Benz India, has launched the all-new V-Class Extra-Long Wheelbase (LWB), redefining the luxury personal mobility segment with an unmatched blend of space, sophistication and privacy. Positioned as a ‘private suite on wheels’, the V-Class caters to India’s evolving luxury customers seeking exclusivity, comfort and serene travel experiences.

Priced at an introductory Rs. 1.4 crore (ex-showroom, all-India), the V-Class is available in Diesel V300d and Petrol V300 variants. In a significant move reinforcing its long-term India commitment, Mercedes-Benz will also commence local production of the V-Class, further strengthening its ‘Make in India’ initiative.

A New Benchmark in Luxury Personal Mobility

The all-new V-Class seamlessly combines avant-garde design, expansive dimensions and first-class comfort. Offered exclusively in the Extra-Long Wheelbase configuration (5,370 mm length, 3,430 mm wheelbase), it delivers unparalleled space and refinement, tailored for discerning customers who value privacy and freedom while travelling.

The V-Class addresses the growing demand for personal luxury space, emerging as a new category of mobility for power elites, trendsetters and affluent Indian families. Increasingly, luxury car buyers are opting for private vehicles for family travel — often accompanied by pets — and the V-Class is designed as an additional luxury vehicle that prioritizes privacy, flexibility and indulgence.

Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, stated that the introduction of the V-Class redefines the concept of a private luxury suite, offering customers an oasis of space, tranquility and exclusivity. He emphasized that the decision to localize production underlines Mercedes-Benz’s continued commitment to India and adds significant value for customers.
