MG Group unveils TIGRA Super-Premium Coach and New Brand Identity

The TIGRA coach, developed at MG’s Belagavi facility, is designed for both domestic and global markets and supports all 13.5-meter coach chassis platforms. Launched under the "RE:BORN" theme, the event featured key MG Group leaders, including Chairman Anil Mohan Kamat, President Sivakumar V., and COO Gireesha Prabhu.

MG Group, a prominent privately-owned bus and coach manufacturer in India, has unveiled its latest innovation—the TIGRA super-premium intercity coach—alongside a refreshed corporate identity. The launch took place at The Royal Senate, Palace Grounds in Bengaluru, marking a significant milestone for the company.

The TIGRA coach, designed and built at MG’s Belagavi facility, is tailored for both domestic and international markets. It is compatible with all 13.5-meter coach chassis platforms, reflecting MG’s engineering flexibility and premium positioning.

Branded under the theme “RE:BORN,” the event brought together MG Group’s leadership including Chairman and Managing Director Anil Mohan Kamat, President – Strategy and Sales Sivakumar V., and Chief Operating Officer Gireesha Prabhu. The gathering also saw participation from customers, suppliers, and mobility tech partners.

The unveiling of the new corporate identity coincides with MG Group’s ten-year journey in the premium coach segment. The redesigned logo—featuring a continuous flow from the letters M to G within a hexagonal frame inspired by a metal bolt—symbolizes the seamless transition from concept to execution.

TIGRA Coach: Premium Features and Specifications

Designed for long-distance intercity travel and tourism, the TIGRA coach offers a range of high-end features aimed at enhancing passenger comfort and safety:

  • Seamlessly contoured ABS-moulded interiors with smooth finishes—free from sharp edges or visible fasteners
  • Ambient lighting integrated throughout the cabin, paired with luxurious berth and seat upholstery
  • Striking full-length Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) featuring a distinctive heartbeat-style light strip
  • Ergonomically designed PU-moulded assistance handles to ensure added passenger safety and support

Production will be undertaken at MG’s coach manufacturing facility in Belagavi, Karnataka, which has received substantial investments in tooling, jigs, and quality systems for high-output manufacturing.
