Statiq, one of India’s leading EV charging network providers, has announced a strategic partnership with BMW Group India to accelerate the nation’s shift toward electric mobility. This collaboration focuses on electrifying key driving corridors across the country, with high-power charging stations of at least 120 kW installed every 300–350 kilometers. The initiative is designed to make long-distance EV travel more convenient and accessible.
Together, Statiq and BMW Group India have developed a comprehensive charging corridor spanning over 4,000 kilometers — from Jammu in the north to Madurai in the south. Strategically located fast chargers along major highways and public hubs ensure that EV owners, regardless of vehicle brand, have access to reliable charging options. This network aims to reduce range anxiety and foster widespread adoption of sustainable transportation.
Additionally, BMW customers can effortlessly locate and access these chargers through the myBMW app, enhancing convenience and confidence for EV drivers across India.
Mr. Akshit Bansal, Founder & CEO, Statiq, said, “The partnership with BMW Group India marks a defining moment for India’s EV ecosystem. By enabling high-power charging every 300–350 km, we are addressing the core challenge of range anxiety and providing the confidence needed for long-distance electric mobility. Our core mission at Statiq has always been to make EV charging easy, accessible, and reliable for all, and this corridor puts India firmly on the global map of green mobility leaders.”
Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India, said, “BMW Group India is immensely proud to be the first luxury carmaker to surpass the remarkable milestone of 5,000 electric vehicle deliveries. We are pleased to partner with Statiq and an additional EV charging operator to expand our charging infrastructure. The chargers located strategically across the length of the country will offer charging capacities ranging from 120 kW to 720 kW. We have also designed the experience to be customer-friendly, placing chargers near cafés, restaurants, and public spaces where drivers can relax while their vehicles recharge. Through this initiative, we are working steadily towards creating a great travel experience for all electric mobility consumers with complete peace of mind.”
Mr. Raghav Arora, Co-Founder & CTO, Statiq, said, “This partnership underscores the power of advanced technology and cross-industry collaboration in meeting the surge in EV adoption. Integrating seamless digital experiences with a vast network of high-performance chargers, we are ensuring India’s highways are future ready. We’re committed to supporting both urban and intercity e-mobility with reliable, scalable infrastructure.”
Statiq has steadily built a fast-growing, user-friendly charging network across India. Its infrastructure now includes more than 8,000 chargers in over 70 cities, ranging from highways and shopping malls to hotels, fuel stations, and popular residential and commercial destinations. Through a smart platform that supports discovery, booking, and contactless payment, the brand enables EV drivers to charge easily and reliably wherever they are. Statiq has also integrated its platform with other major EV charging providers like E-Fill, Sunfuel, and GLIDA to expand usability and reach.
With clear plans to install 20,000 charging points by 2026 and foster partnerships with state governments, automotive OEMs, and real estate developers, Statiq is leading the way in creating a robust, inclusive EV infrastructure ecosystem. The company continues to align itself with India’s sustainability goals, actively supporting clean transportation and reducing dependency on fossil fuels.
