New joint venture to focus on eAxle systems and electric motors, strengthening local EV manufacturing and accelerating adoption

Bosch Limited and Tata AutoComp Systems Limited (TACO) have announced a strategic joint venture aimed at accelerating growth in India’s e-mobility segment. Both companies will hold equal stakes in the new entity, which is expected to begin operations by mid-2026, subject to regulatory approvals.

The collaboration brings together Bosch’s global technology expertise and Tata AutoComp’s strong foothold in the automotive components sector to deliver advanced and efficient e-mobility solutions tailored for the Indian market.

Speaking on the development, Guruprasad Mudlapur, President of the Bosch Group in India and Managing Director of Bosch Limited, emphasized that battery electric technology is a key pathway to achieving low emissions in passenger vehicles and select commercial segments. He added that the joint venture aims to accelerate adoption by providing state-of-the-art e-mobility solutions to customers.

The joint venture will focus on engineering, manufacturing and sales of eAxle systems and electric motors in India. With a registered office in Pune, this joint venture aims to accelerate the adoption of sustainable and forward-looking technologies, thereby expanding the regional footprint for both companies in the e-mobility space.
