Sharda Motor Industries Ltd. (SMIL), one of India’s leading Tier-1 automotive component manufacturers, has signed a Technology Licensing Agreement (TLA) with Donghee Industries Co. Ltd., Republic of Korea. The collaboration marks a major milestone in introducing next-generation suspension systems to the Indian automotive market, supporting the country’s fast-growing SUV, EV, and premium passenger vehicle segments.
Under the agreement, Donghee Industries will provide comprehensive design blueprints, process know-how, and validation protocols to Sharda Motor Industries. This strategic partnership will empower SMIL to locally manufacture advanced suspension components, including control arms, torsion beams, and sub-frames, for both Indian and global OEMs.
The alliance is set to significantly strengthen SMIL’s automotive suspension portfolio, integrating lightweight engineering, superior structural integrity, and cutting-edge manufacturing technologies.
