
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced the launch of its Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP) at BSF Polytechnic CSMT Tekanpur, located in Gwalior. The initiative forms part of TKM’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts for FY 2025–26, with skill development identified as a key priority area aimed at empowering youth and strengthening India’s automotive talent ecosystem.
Through the T-TEP program, Toyota Kirloskar Motor seeks to enhance industry-ready technical skills among students by providing structured automotive training, modern learning infrastructure, and exposure to industry best practices. The initiative is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world automotive industry requirements.
By expanding the program to BSF Polytechnic CSMT Tekanpur, Toyota Kirloskar Motor continues to strengthen its commitment to developing skilled talent, supporting employment opportunities, and contributing to the long-term growth of India’s automotive sector.
The program was launched in the presence of Shri. Anand Pratap Singh, IPS, Additional Director General, Director – Border Security Force (BSF) Academy, Shri. Rajesh Kumar, Inspector General, Joint Director – BSF Academy, Shri. Dr. C. P. Meena, Deputy Inspector General, Principal – CSMT, RIT BSF Polytechnic, Shri. Abhijeet Atray, Dealer Principal, Anant Toyota and senior executives from Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
The newly inaugurated T-TEP center will offer training across two key trades: Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering. It has an annual intake capacity of 279 students. The program is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by equipping students with relevant technical expertise and practical exposure.
As part of this CSR-led intervention, TKM will provide comprehensive training support, including specialized Service, Body & Mind modules focused on discipline and workplace readiness and access to structured, industry-aligned materials. The year-long program is designed for final-year Diploma students. It integrates classroom instruction with practical exposure through On-Job Training (OJT) at authorized Toyota dealerships. The program also offers an industry-aligned curriculum tailored to the needs of the Indian automotive sector.
Aligned with the Government of India’s Skill India Mission, the initiative contributes to national priorities of building a future-ready workforce. By enabling access to quality technical education and industry exposure, TKM aims to create long-term socio-economic impact, particularly by improving career pathways for youth from underserved and rural communities.

Anand Pratap Singh, IPS, Additional Director General, Director, Border Security Force (BSF) Academy said, “Collaborations like this play a vital role in aligning technical education with real industry requirements. Access to Toyota’s training methodology, modern learning resources, and hands-on exposure will enhance the technical competencies of our students. It will also enhance their employability opportunities.”

TKM has been at the forefront of skill development through its flagship initiatives, such as the Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI) and T-TEP. Since its inception in 2006, T-TEP has trained over 14,000 students across India, with more than 70% of graduates securing employment in automobile companies and authorized dealerships nationwide.
