Prior to joining Hero MotoCorp, he served as Executive Vice President and Head of R&D and Technology at VE Commercial Vehicles, where he led global engineering teams and contributed to multiple technology programs.
He began his career at Daewoo Motors, playing a role in the development of the Matiz chassis system. Over the years, he has worked across diesel, CNG, electric, and hydrogen platforms, while also contributing to connected mobility, AI/ML integration, and software-defined vehicle ecosystems.
Agrawal has also held leadership positions in industry and global organizations, including serving as Chairperson of the SIAM Frontier Technology & Innovation Group and leading the Volvo Group’s Global Center of Excellence for Medium Duty Engine Development. He holds an M.Tech in Mechanical Design from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and is a Leadership Fellow from Carnegie Mellon University.
The appointment reinforces Hero MotoCorp’s focus on strengthening its leadership team as it accelerates R&D transformation and builds future-ready technology capabilities.
