EKA Mobility, in partnership with transport service provider Chartered Speed, has received a Letter of Award (LOA) to deploy 675 electric buses across Rajasthan under the Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Sewa Scheme. The fleet will consist of 565 nine-metre and 110 twelve-metre electric buses, to be introduced across eight cities: Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer, Alwar, Bikaner, Bhilwara, and Jodhpur. This initiative supports the Rajasthan government’s commitment to reducing emissions, decreasing dependency on fossil fuels, and enhancing public transportation. The LOA comes in the wake of the Letter of Confirmation of Quantity (LOCQ) recently issued by Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) for electric bus deployment nationwide.
Rohit Srivastava, Business Head and Chief Growth Officer at EKA Mobility, stated, “This achievement reaffirms our conviction that electric mobility is not just the future—it is already a reality. Rajasthan’s proactive step toward electrification aligns seamlessly with our mission to revolutionize daily commuting and accelerate India’s shift to a cleaner, more sustainable future.”
Sanyam Gandhi, Whole-Time Director at Chartered Speed, added, “This milestone underscores our dedication to building a greener and more efficient transport ecosystem. Through the Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Sewa Scheme, we are embracing electric mobility to transform urban transit. Our aim is to spearhead the move toward a low-carbon future by providing commuters with cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable travel options.”
The Rajasthan order adds to a string of recent wins for EKA Mobility, including contracts worth approximately ₹150 crore from the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation and around ₹400 crore from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation. These developments further strengthen the company’s footprint in the electric mobility space and contribute to the growth of its zero-emission public transport fleet.
