Godawari Electric Motors receives ICAT certification for its Li-ion battery

Extensive tests have been carried out to ensure that the battery meets the safety and performance parameters mandated by ICAT under the latest amendments

Godawari Electric Motors received AIS 156 authorisation under Amendment-III Phase-II from the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) for its 200Ah lithium-ion battery pack. The battery pack is manufactured by Ruchira Green.

Extensive tests have been carried out to ensure that the battery meets the safety and performance parameters mandated by ICAT under the latest amendments. The company manufactures Eblu range of products and It has started using these certified batteries in its e-auto Eblu Rozee and e-loader Eblu Reino.

According to Hyder Khan, CEO of Godawari Electric Motors, this certification is one of the key milestones the company has achieved since its inception. The focus of the company has been on creating quality products with rider safety in mind. The battery is one of the core components of an EV. The 200Ah pack receiving ICAT certification makes Godawari Electric Motors compliant with the latest regulations laid down by the governing authorities. This certification is further expected to enhance customer awareness about the product.
