Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) celebrated the 8th anniversary of its Traffic Training Park in Karnal, Haryana, a space dedicated to imparting road safety education through interactive learning. Since its inception, the park has trained over 1 lakh people across age groups, contributing to safer and more responsible mobility in the region.
The anniversary celebration was graced by Ms. Sudesh Thukral, District Education Officer, Karnal. Adding a spark of enthusiasm, students from C.S. International School participated in sessions designed to make safety education engaging and memorable. The celebration featured a series of activities such as Safety Riding Theory Session to instil basic road discipline and quiz competition for blended learning. The day concluded with a cake cutting ceremony marking 8 years of continuous road safety learning.
In October 2017, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India in association with Karnal Traffic Police inaugurated the traffic training park in Karnal. Over the years, the park has served as an evolving learning hub for participants to begin safety riding lessons from an early age. HMSI’s trainers regularly conduct sessions that cater to different age groups, including school children, college students and the daily commuters. The aim is to make road safety second nature, no matter the age or experience level.
HMSI’s initiative at Karnal is a part of its broader road safety vision, emphasising that education and awareness from the foundation of safe mobility. Over the past 8 years, the park has served not only as a training ground but also a dedicated space for people of all age groups to come together and strengthen the culture of responsible road behaviour. Moving forward, HMSI plans to continue its efforts to expand the reach of such initiatives and host community-driven learning activities throughout the year.
