Maserati has declared 2026 as the ‘Year of the Trident’, marking a landmark moment in the brand’s storied history. The celebrations begin at the Brussels Motor Show, where Maserati will showcase its presence in Hall 11 with a refined and diverse lineup of models that reflect the marque’s elegance, performance, and innovation.

The year 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of Maserati’s iconic Trident logo, inspired by the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna, which has adorned the front of Maserati vehicles for a century. Coinciding with this milestone is another historic achievement—100 years since Maserati’s motorsport debut. In 1926, the Maserati Tipo 26 became the brand’s first racing car to compete in the Targa Florio, proudly bearing the Trident emblem and securing a class victory on its debut.

While honouring its rich heritage, Maserati is also looking to the future. At the Brussels Motor Show, the brand highlights the versatility of its current model range, underscoring its evolution while staying true to the spirit of the Trident.

MCPURA Cielo: ‘open air’ driving pleasure

First of all, the new Maserati MCPURA Cielo will make its appearance in Brussels. The new super sports car from Maserati stands out with a modified exterior design, high-quality materials and a further refined interior finish. The core however remained unchanged: the powerful, iconic and unmistakable Nettuno V6 engine, a symbol of Maserati’s enduring passion for performance. The 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine produces 630 hp at 7,500 rpm and 720 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. The secret of this engine lies in its innovative pre-chamber combustion system with dual spark plugs – a technology derived from Formula 1. Complementing this performance and technology, Maserati highlights the special “open air” experience in Brussels with the MCPURA Cielo, finished in the launch color AI Aqua Rainbow from the Fuoriserie collection.

GranCabrio Folgore: balanced blend of elegance and power

Another highlight on the Maserati stand is the Bianco Astro colored GranCabrio Folgore, which combines the elegance of Maserati’s convertible with the power of an all-electric powertrain and the experience of open driving pleasure for four occupants. With a top speed of 290 km/h, the GranCabrio Folgore is the fastest electric convertible today. This Folgore version manages to perfectly combine all the typical Maserati characteristics – luxury, performance, driving comfort and sportiness – with the refined power of electrified elegance and modern technology. The GranCabrio Folgore’s canvas soft top can be operated at speeds of up to 50 km/h. It opens in 14 seconds and closes in 16 seconds.

Grecale Lumina Blu: an exclusive special edition

A Benelux show debut of note at the Brussels Motor Show is the Maserati Grecale Lumina Blu. With this new special edition, Maserati presents an SUV that combines exclusive, refined looks with a comprehensive technology package, making every journey even more pleasant and comfortable. A true eye-catcher is the exclusive Night Interaction exterior, which contrasts beautifully with the 21″ Pegaso rims, yellow brake calipers and the yellow Trident on the C-pillar. The interior of the Grecale Lumina Blu is finished with high quality Chocolate leather and open-pore burl wood inserts, among others. Other highlights include the panoramic roof, power tailgate with motion sensor, 12-way adjustable and electrically heated and cooled front seats, heated steering wheel and 360° Surround View camera. Under the bonnet of the Grecale Lumina Blu special edition houses the familiar, 330-hp 2.0-liter mild-hybrid turbo engine, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive and a rear mechanical limited slip differential.

Grecale Folgore: the power and efficiency of electrification

Finally, a second Gecale in Brussels highlights precisely the electric performance of Maserati’s premium mid-size SUV. This Grecale Folgore – with a WLTP driving range of up to 580 km – is adorned in the special color Verde Royale, combined with a Ghiaccio interior, again from Maserati’s Fuoriserie collection. With this Fuoriserie program Maserati emphasizes that far-reaching personalization is already available to everyone even within the regular range of models. The brand’s 100% electric SUV now comes standard with the AWD-Disconnect all-wheel drive system for an even greater driving range. Moreover, the Maserati Grecale lineup offers numerous new colors and trims to meet all the demands and expectations of the brand’s customers.
