MG Windsor crosses 75,000 sales, Remains India’s best-selling EV

India's best-selling electric vehicle, the MG Windsor, has crossed the 75,000-unit sales milestone in under two years. Backed by strong demand across metros and emerging markets, the EV has already sold over 19,000 units in 2026, reinforcing its leadership in India's growing electric mobility market.

JSW MG Motor India has announced that the MG Windsor, India’s best-selling electric vehicle, has crossed the landmark 75,000-unit sales milestone in less than two years since its launch. The impressive achievement underscores the Windsor’s growing popularity among Indian buyers and reinforces its position as a key driver of the country’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle market.

The momentum has continued into 2026, with the MG Windsor already recording over 19,000 units sold during the current calendar year. The model’s steadily expanding order book further reflects strong customer demand and highlights its contribution to accelerating EV adoption across India.

With its blend of practicality, advanced features, and competitive value proposition, the MG Windsor continues to attract a wide range of buyers, cementing its status as one of the most successful electric vehicles in the Indian market.

The MG Windsor became India’s No. 1-selling EV through its compelling ABC proposition, offering the price point of an A-segment vehicle, the exterior dimensions of a B-segment car, and the interior space of a C-segment vehicle. The MG Windsor also resonated strongly with families by providing generous space, superior comfort and a feature-rich cabin, while delivering an exceptional driving experience. The consistent demand for MG EVs is evident not only in Tier I cities but also in non-metros and emerging markets, signalling India’s readiness to adopt sustainable mobility solutions. JSW MG Motor India reported 13% YoY growth in overall sales in H1 CY2026 compared with H1 CY2025.  

The MG Windsor, India’s 1st Intelligent CUV, combines the expanse of a sedan and the versatility of an SUV. It is offered with a starting BaaS price of INR 9.99L + INR 3.9/kms+, and delivers 100 KW (136ps) of power and 200Nm of torque. The MG Windsor offers two battery pack options for added versatility: a 38 kWh pack with a range of 332 km#and its PRO variant, a 52.9 kWh pack, delivering an impressive range of 449 km#.

The MG Windsor comes with a futuristic ‘AeroGlide’ design language, transcending the concept of traditional segmentation. Inside, the car is offered with business-class comfort that features ‘Aero Lounge’ seats reclinable to 135 degrees, providing utmost comfort.
