Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has been recognized with two distinguished awards at the India CSR Awards 2025, celebrating the company’s impactful initiatives in road safety, education, and social development across India.

Launched in 2011 by the India CSR Network, the awards highlight exemplary corporate social responsibility projects that drive long-term, sustainable change. The 2025 edition honoured initiatives reflecting innovation, inclusivity, and alignment with national development priorities.

The awards were presented during the 16th CSR Leadership Summit 2025 at Modi Hall, PHDCCI, New Delhi on November 21, attended by leading policymakers, corporate leaders, and development-sector experts.

In the CSR Innovation-Larger Impact category, TKM was honoured for its Toyota Hackathon initiative. This first-of-its-kind initiative empowers students from grades 9 to 12 to design practical, technology-enabled solutions addressing real-world road safety challenges. Toyota Hackathon was launched in 2019, the program has since evolved into a multi-city youth innovation movement across Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai cities. Over the years, the program has impacted more than 15,000 students cumulatively.

The CSR Project of the Year – Large Impact category has been awarded to the Toyota Anganwadi Development Programme (TADP). The programme has been recognized for its large-scale contribution to early childhood education in the state of Karnataka. Implemented in collaboration with the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Karnataka, the program focuses on transforming Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) into child-friendly learning environments by upgrading infrastructure, strengthening teaching capacities, and promoting holistic development. Since the inception of TADP in 2020, the program has upgraded more than 580 Anganwadi Centers and benefited over 10,000 children, teachers, and supervisors across Karnataka.

Commenting on the award, Mr. Vikram Gulati, Country Head and Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Governance, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, “These awards reflect our commitment to building a stronger society. At TKM, we believe that sustainable growth is possible only when communities progress. Through our ‘child-to-community approach’ programmes, we empower children to become advocates for change, spreading positive behaviors beyond the classroom. We will continue to design CSR programs that address real needs and deliver long-lasting impact. These awards reinforce our dedication to bring about positive change in the communities that we operate in”

Since 2001, TKM has remained committed to uplifting communities through initiatives spanning Education, Environment, Road Safety, Skill Development, Health & Hygiene, and Disaster Management. TKM’s CSR philosophy is firmly embedded in its operations, focusing on need-based, sustainable interventions that promote socio-economic development and long-term community well-being. These efforts are aligned with both global and national priorities, reinforcing TKM’s dedication to driving meaningful change.
