Electric motorcycle manufacturer Ultraviolette has received ‘United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE)’ certification for its F77 MACH 2 model. This L3e certification deems the motorcycle road-legal in over 40 countries, including across the European Union. The UNECE L3e certification also makes the F77 MACH 2 accessible to riders with A1 and A2 licenses.
Designed and produced at Ultraviolette’s advanced facility in Bengaluru, the F77 MACH 2 meets stringent international standards for quality, safety, and performance. With certification secured, the bike is set to launch in Europe, with initial shipments heading to Germany and Turkey. Ultraviolette’s European debut is scheduled for after its showcase at EICMA 2024, marking the first time an Indian brand has entered Europe’s competitive performance motorcycle market.
Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-Founder of Ultraviolette, said, “This certification is a monumental moment for us, opening doors to a wider global audience. It reflects our relentless pursuit of world-class standards in design-led performance.”
Niraj Rajmohan, CTO and Co-Founder of Ultraviolette, “As we enter the European market, the F77 MACH 2 is poised to redefine the future of electric mobility on the global stage.”
The F77 MACH 2’s exports to Europe were recently flagged off by Union Minister of Heavy Industries, Hon’ble Shri H.D. Kumaraswamy, and Karnataka’s Minister of Industries and Commerce, Hon’ble Shri M.B. Patil, who praised Ultraviolette as the ‘Tesla of India.’ This acknowledgment further reinforces the brand’s pioneering role in India’s electric vehicle revolution and its growing influence in international markets.
