Benling India launches ‘Believe’ E2W for the Indian Market

Gurugram based Benling India, founded in 2018, has announced the official launch of its long-range electric two-wheeler ‘Believe’ built specifically for the Indian road conditions. The company has rolled out its e-scooter with its key features focussed on safety. ‘Believe’ will be sold via 350 Benling’s dealerships in the country located across 22 States & 160 cities, which company will leverage to market and boost its sales. Benling India also revealed its new generation of electric batteries – LFP (lithium iron phosphate) for its newly unveiled model. The product shall be available across its showrooms effective 25th August, 2022.

The ‘Believe’ High-speed e-scooter is priced at INR 97,520 (ex-showroom) and is offered in 6 colours options -Yellow, Blue, Black, White, Purple, Magic Grey. The key highlights of this model are – Smart Break down Assist – that helps riders to smoothly sail through 25 kms during a breakdown, just by holding a knob and a claimed range of 120 km per charge.

This electric scooter sports a swappable LFP battery pack, powering a 3.2 kw waterproof BLDC motor. The e-scooter, which weighs a total of 248 kgs, has a top speed of 75 kmph. The LFP battery pack gets a micro charger and auto cut off system and allows for a full charge in approximately four hours. The new ‘Believe’ comes equipped with various functionalities, such as keyless start, multiple speed modes, anti-theft alarm feature, regenerative braking, mobile-app connectivity, Park-assist function, Mobile-charging and real time tracking. It gets best in class loading capacity of 250 kgs relating to better performance on Indian road conditions while also ensuring its environmental sustainability. Braking power on the ‘Believe’ e-scooter is via disk brakes at the front and rear and the model is ARAI/ ICAT certified.

In about a months’ time, a total of 3000 units of ‘Believe’ e-scooter are ready to be rolled out while another 9000 units will be ready by November onwards. From then on, Benling India is slated to enhance capacities.

The Made in India electric scooter shall be manufactured in a 1,50,000 sq ft facility in Manesar, Haryana which has the capacity to produce 3,00,000 vehicles in a year. It will help scale up and match company’s growth ambitions. The company has already scheduled for 1,20,000 deliveries in FY’23. It currently produces 3 E2W models in both High and slow speed segments.
