Bijliride, a leading electric mobility platform, partnered with Indofast Energy, a joint venture between IndianOil Corporation Limited and SUN Mobility, to accelerate its B2C expansion by tackling key infrastructure challenges in EV rentals. Leveraging Indofast Energy’s network of 1,484+ swap stations across 23 cities and an average record of over 3.5 million monthly swaps, the partnership aims to deliver a faster, more reliable, and scalable electric mobility experience.
The collaboration addresses critical issues such as charging downtime, vehicle availability, and rider convenience. Through battery-swapping integration, users will be able to replace depleted batteries within minutes, ensuring higher uptime and seamless ride continuity.
Hyderabad will be the launch market, followed by expansion into Bengaluru, Pune, and Chennai over the next 12–18 months. Bijliride plans to deploy several hundred electric two-wheelers in the initial phase, with fleet expansion aligned to demand.
The integration is expected to improve fleet efficiency, enhance utilization, and enable quicker turnaround during peak periods, driving stronger unit economics.
Customers can access services via the Bijliride app, with offerings including daily and weekly rentals, subscriptions for gig workers, and long-term plans providing flexible, ownership-free mobility.
