ACMA Mobility Foundation, Spark Minda host Tech Show to empower Tier-2 and Tier-3 auto suppliers

Spark Connect Tech Show brings targeted buyer-seller engagement to enhance capability development across the automotive supply chain

The ACMA Mobility Foundation, in collaboration with the Spark Minda Group, has organised the Spark Connect Tech Show, a focused buyer-seller engagement platform aimed at enhancing visibility, capability development and collaboration opportunities for Tier-2 and Tier-3 suppliers within India’s automotive supply chain.

The tech show brought together 25 supplier partners, enabling them to directly present their technologies, solutions and competencies to Tier-1 manufacturers and OEM-facing teams. The initiative marks a strategic shift in ACMA’s engagement model—from traditional OEM-led exhibitions to Tier-1-hosted technology platforms, allowing for deeper and more meaningful interactions across the value chain.

The curated format facilitated close engagement between suppliers and engineering, R&D and procurement teams, helping supplier partners gain targeted feedback and better understand evolving technology and sourcing requirements.

Vinnie Mehta, Director General, ACMA, said that while ACMA continues to host large-scale exhibitions and international events, focused technology shows such as Spark Connect play a critical role in supporting individual companies. He highlighted that such platforms enable direct engagement between OEMs, Tier-1s and suppliers, offering actionable feedback that is essential for strengthening Tier-2 capabilities and building a more competitive automotive ecosystem.

Aakash Minda, Executive Director, Spark Minda Group and Chairperson, Supply Chain & Raw Materials Pillar, ACMA, noted that the collaboration with the ACMA Mobility Foundation is aimed at improving access and visibility for Tier-2 and Tier-3 suppliers across Tier-1s and OEMs. He added that buyer-seller engagements like the Spark Connect Tech Show allow suppliers to showcase their strengths and explore potential business collaborations within the automotive value chain.

The Spark Connect Tech Show forms part of the ACMA Mobility Foundation’s broader efforts to deepen supply-chain integration and support the development of a globally competitive automotive components ecosystem in India.

The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) represents over 1,100 manufacturers, accounting for more than 90% of the organised auto component industry’s turnover. In FY2025, the Indian auto component industry recorded a combined turnover of USD 80.2 billion, with exports worth USD 22.9 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of USD 450 million.
