ASDC hosts 14th Annual Conclave on Tech-Driven Automotive Skilling

The event featured the release of a white paper and signing of MoUs with Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Gandhi Auto, Delphi TVS, and Bosch India to expand skilling programs nationwide. Two panel discussions focused on aligning academic talent with future mobility technologies and skilling for next-generation automotive tech.

The Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) held its 14th Annual Conclave 2025 under the theme “Stronger Together, Transform Tomorrow,” spotlighting the evolving skilling needs of the automotive sector. The event brought together government officials, industry leaders, and academic experts to discuss strategies for workforce development.

ASDC President F.R. Singhvi shared the organization’s 2024-25 performance report, highlighting partnerships with universities, initiatives for women’s skill development, strengthened industry-academia collaboration, and efforts to expand internationally.

Key speakers included C.S. Vigneshwar, President of FADA; Shradha Suri Marwah, CMD of Subros Limited and ACMA President; C.V. Raman, CTO of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.; and Dr. Vinita Aggarwal, Executive Member of NCVET.

Dr. Vinita Aggarwal emphasized, “India’s progress as a global skill hub depends on standardization and strong industry alignment. With over 180 automotive QPs under NSQF, it is essential to keep them dynamic by incorporating hands-on training, apprenticeships, and micro-credentials. The automotive sector must actively adopt and continuously update these QPs to develop a future-ready, technology-driven workforce.”
