Godawari Electric launches e-Auto and e-bicycle at Auto Expo

Launched in July 2019 as Godawari EMobility, Godawari Electric Motors aims to provide self-employment to millions and reduce the carbon footprint in the country with its state-of-the-art e-mobility solutions.

Godawari Electric Motors, an EV manufacturer based in Chhattisgarh, announced its foray into the EV retail space and launched its Electric Auto (L5M), Eblu Rozee and unisex electric bicycle Eblu Spin at the Auto Expo 2023.

Eblu Rozee (L5M) is explicitly designed to meet consumer safety, comfort, and performance needs.  Additionally, this e-auto is endowed with a DCPD body that is rust-proof and high-impact resistant, along with a 200Ah Li-ion battery, enabling it to run for 165 km (certified range) on a single charge. It boasts of features like rear independent suspension for best-in-class comfort and safety, hydraulic brakes on all three wheels, a dual headlamp for better visibility, and a park switch to prevent accidents when the ignition is on. It comes with a 3-year/80000 km warranty and a low operating cost of 50 paise per/km. It aspires to ensure a comfortable & safe ride with features like PU foam seats, solid super structure, and extra leg space. The e-auto is equipped with regenerative braking as well.

Eblu Spin is an all-new revolutionary electric bicycle that has a unisex design for easy & comfortable rides for all, modern & stylish looks, and a rugged frame. The electric bicycle will be offered with three battery options 6Ah, 12Ah and 18Ah and the driving range will vary between 25-65 km for the three variants. It will also come with over and under-voltage protection and a portable charging facility. It is equipped with front and rear disc brakes and a front telescopic suspension. The electric bicycle will come with a 1-year warranty on the motor, cycle chassis frame, front suspension and brake pad and a 3-year warranty on the battery and the charger.

Bookings for Eblu Rozee will commence on 12th January. The Eblu Rozee has been priced at Rs. 339,999 (ex-showroom). It will be available at 25 dealerships across 7 states in the first phase and will be gradually rolled out to other parts of the country. The company will commence the delivery of Eblu Rozee at end of this month.

Bookings for Eblu Spin will commence in January 2023 and its variants have been priced between Rs 20,000-Rs 40,000. It will be available at 25 dealerships across 7 states in the first phase and will be gradually rolled out to other parts of the country. The company will commence the deliveries at end of this month.

The company is beginning its operations in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Bihar this month.

The company is also expected to launch an e-scooter, e-loader and an electric motorcycle this year. Godawari Electric Moto announced in 2020 that it will be investing up to Rs 150 crore for setting up an EV manufacturing plant in Raipur. The company will look to further invest in the R&D and development of these products at its manufacturing plant.
