Hindustan Zinc Limited, the world’s largest integrated zinc producer and a top 5 global silver producer, has announced the 2nd edition of the Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon, set to take place on 21st September 2025 from Field Club, Udaipur.

The event continues the company’s commitment to eradicating malnutrition through the #RunForZeroHunger campaign, an initiative by Nand Ghar, under the Anil Agarwal Foundation.

To mark the launch, the official marathon poster—featuring the scenic charm of Udaipur—was unveiled alongside the vibrant race-day jersey in shades of blue, orange, and pink, symbolizing inclusivity, energy, and unity.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by Shri Sunil Chedri (Chief Conservator, Forest Department), Mr. Arun Misra (CEO & Whole-time Director, Hindustan Zinc), and Dr. Manoj Soni (Founder, ABCR – Anybody Can Run).

Building on the resounding success of the inaugural edition in 2024, which saw over 5,000 runners from across the globe, the marathon returns this year with an even grander vision. The runners will once again traverse Udaipur’s stunning landscapes, including the picturesque Fateh Sagar Lake and Aravalli Hills, while celebrating inclusivity and community spirit. The marathon will feature categories including the Half Marathon (21 km), Cool Run (10 km), and Dream Run (5 km), along with a feature race for specially abled individuals, deemed as “Race with Champions”. The Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon is an official member of the Association of the International Marathons (AIMS) and Distance Races, proudly holding AIMS certification.

The Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon returns with a powerful blend of technology and tradition, marked by a first-ever digital launch of the official poster and jersey. Held in Udaipur, India’s “Zinc City”, the event is more than a race—it’s a tribute to the city’s rich heritage, scenic beauty, and commitment to community development.

This year’s edition, happening on 21st September 2025, features runners from 27 Indian states and international participants, making it a global celebration of health and unity. Mentalist Sapan Joshi wowed audiences during the launch, and engaging activities enriched the experience for all attendees.

Recognized as India’s most beautiful marathon, the route showcases Udaipur’s lakes, palaces, and the Aravalli hills. The event not only promotes fitness but also boosts tourism and the local economy, benefiting businesses, artisans, and the hospitality sector.
