Delhi Metro has launched forty-five e-autos with women driver partners at Kalkaji metro station for last mile connectivity. This is the third metro station after Dwarka and Azadpur to the service of e-autos. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has engaged a private operator – ETO Motors – for plying e-autos at the station. The company has also set up a charging network at Kalkaji metro station, which can concurrently charge up to 30 vehicles at a time.

“We are meeting the needs of metro commuters in Delhi, which have been long overdue, while also ensuring environmental preservation with these launches,” said Pavan Chavali, Managing Director and CEO, ETO Motors.

The permits have been allotted in two categories – women quota (663) and general (636). Electric autos will have both men and women drivers. Apart from ETO Motors, DMRC also engaged M/s Sun Mobility, which introduced e-autos services under general quota from Dwarka region in October 2022.
