Lamborghini launched Revuelto in India at Rs 8.89 crore

Based on a new carbon frame concept, the Revuelto gets a new combustion engine with three electric motors, alongside a double-clutch gearbox, making its debut on a 12-cylinder Lamborghini for the first time.

The Lamborghini Revuelto, which made its global debut earlier this year in March, has been launched in India at a whopping Rs 8.89 crore (ex-showroom). With only a few units earmarked for India, its deliveries are expected to start in the coming weeks.

The Revuelto is Automobili Lamborghini’s first super sports V12 hybrid plug-in high-performance electrified vehicle in India. Based on a new carbon frame concept, the Revuelto gets a new combustion engine with three electric motors, alongside a double-clutch gearbox, making its debut on a 12-cylinder Lamborghini for the first time.

The Lamborghini Revuelto is based on a new aeronautics-inspired chassis, the ‘monofuselage’. As well as a monocoque made entirely of multi-technology carbon fibre, it features a front structure in forged composites, a special material made of short carbon fibres soaked in resin. It is the first super sports car to be fitted with a 100% carbon fibre front structure.

The car gets a naturally-aspirated 6.5-litre V12 mid-mounted engine, complemented by three electric motors, one of which is integrated into the new double-clutch eight-speed gearbox. The new L545 engine is the lightest and most powerful 12-cylinder engine ever made by Lamborghini, generating 825CV of max power (ICE) and 725Nm of peak torque (ICE).

The combined torque from the internal combustion engine (ICE) and three electric motors offers handsome performance levels, with 725Nm produced by the engine and 350Nm from each of the front electric motors. In total, the power unit delivers a combined maximum output of 1,015CV. The Lamborghini Revuelto can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of more than 350kmph.

The Revuelto offers a completely new human-machine interface system consisting of three displays — a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, an 8.4-inch central display, and an additional 9.1-inch display. The new steering wheel design is inspired by the interaction with the steering wheel of a Squadra Corse race car. Amazon Alexa allows access to vehicle control functions such as climate, navigation and media via voice commands.

Lamborghini has equipped the Revuelto with an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with the package including active lane departure warning (ALDW), lane change warning (LCW), adaptive cruise control (ACC) and rear cross traffic alert (RCTA), among others.

“We are excited to present the Revuelto to our Lamborghini customers and fans in India. Being one of the fastest growing markets for Lamborghini, we continue to witness a strong demand from India in the Asia Pacific region. The new Revuelto sets the stage for an era of super sports car evolution in the hybridisation phase, and it is also a significant milestone for the brand as we commemorate Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary,” said Francesco Scardaoni, Region Director, Asia Pacific, Automobili Lamborghini.

“I believe that this car is an interpretation of the brand going beyond, and how we revolutionised the automotive world with our iconic V12. This model will excite not just the loyal V12 customers in this region but also all clients who want to own a piece of the first Lamborghini Super Sports V12 Hybrid HPEV,” he added.
