Skoda reveals facelifted Kamiq and Scala models

Skoda Auto is comprehensively updating its compact Skoda Scala and Skoda Kamiq city SUV model series. Both models offer a very high level of active and passive safety, courtesy of rigid bodies and a now even more advanced range of assistance systems. Both models now come with Skoda’s TOP LED Matrix headlights as an option – a first for these models. An increased proportion of recycled and natural materials for the exterior and interior ensures greater sustainability.

Skoda has revealed facelifted versions of its renowned Kamiq and Scala models. The latest versions display enhanced design elements and increased practicality, serving to the needs of modern car enthusiasts. With a focus on sportiness and ruggedness, the new Skoda Scala and Kamiq showcase significant changes in their radiator grilles, LED headlamps, and interior choices. Additionally, these models adopt digital technology upgrades, ensuring a seamless driving experience and embracing Skoda’s new corporate identity, the company said.

The new Skoda Kamiq and Skoda Scala models showcase sportier design and improved practicality, drawing inspiration from the Enyaq electric SUV and featuring advanced LED headlamps and digital technology.

The new Skoda Scala boasts of an even sportier feel than its predecessor, inspired by the Vision RS concept, while the Kamiq radiates a more rugged SUV character, taking cues from its SUV siblings Karoq and Kodiaq. Both models feature redesigned radiator grilles with striking contrasts between glossy and matt surfaces. The Scala’s grille now resembles the Vision RS concept, and the Kamiq’s grille appears more confident and stronger with double ribbing.

Skoda has equipped both the Scala and Kamiq with LED headlamps as standard. Customers can also choose for the top-of-the-range TOP LED Matrix headlamps, previously available only for higher-end models. These advanced headlamps offer full beam capabilities at night while preventing glare for other road users. Following the Scala’s lead, both the updated Kamiq and Scala models now feature the Skoda lettering on the rear, symbolizing the company’s fresh corporate identity unveiled recently. This change signifies Skoda’s commitment to innovation and modernity. The Enyaq electric SUV has influenced the interior choices of the Kamiq and Scala models, offering customers six interior designs. Three trim levels, Essence, Selection, and Monte Carlo, cater to diverse preferences, incorporating traditional sporty details like black body elements, sports seats, and adjustable ambient LED interior lighting.

Inside the cars, the Kamiq and Scala boast digital technology upgrades. The digital instrument cluster is now a standard feature, and customers can opt for the optional 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit. The infotainment display comes in two diagonal sizes: 8.25 inches or optionally 9.2 inches. Additionally, the air conditioning control panel has been redesigned, now featuring new rotary mechanical controls. Both the models come equipped with modern safety and assistance systems, as well as connectivity functions, providing drivers with peace of mind and convenience.

Skoda continues to offer a plethora of ‘Simply Clever’ features, including some segment-firsts. Notably, the Scala and Kamiq can be equipped with an optional electrically operated fifth door featuring a virtual pedal function. This innovation allows for easy hands-free opening of the boot, adding practicality to the driving experience.
