Steelbird Hi-Tech India Ltd., the world’s largest helmet manufacturer, has launched its latest offering, the SBH-35 ROBOT 2.0 helmet. Starting at ₹1,799, this helmet combines advanced safety features, comfort, and a sleek design, making it an attractive choice for both daily commuters and motorcycle enthusiasts.
One of the standout features of the SBH-35 ROBOT 2.0 is its dual certification, meeting both DOT (FMVSS No. 218) and BIS (IS 4151:2015) safety standards, ensuring reliable protection on roads in India and abroad. Its high-impact ABS shell enhances durability and is designed to withstand significant impacts, offering riders peace of mind.
In addition to its safety features, the helmet is engineered for maximum comfort. It is equipped with multi-layer EPS (thermocol) padding that includes both high and low-density layers, as well as air channels for improved ventilation. This ensures a cooler, more comfortable experience, making it ideal for long-distance rides without compromising safety. The optimized ventilation system further enhances air circulation, providing comfort throughout the ride.
The helmet’s interior is crafted for convenience, featuring a hygienic, washable lining made from breathable, multipore materials designed in Italy. This ensures cleanliness and freshness even after extended use. Additionally, the SBH-35 ROBOT 2.0 comes with a scratch-resistant polycarbonate visor, offering clear visibility and added durability for long-lasting use.
For added practicality, the SBH-35 ROBOT 2.0 includes a quick-release visor mechanism and a visor locking system, allowing riders to change or secure their visors with ease. Additional features such as a nose protector and wind deflector enhance the rider’s comfort and protection, particularly during high-speed rides.
To ensure a secure fit, the helmet is equipped with a micro-metric buckle that meets European safety standards. The SBH-35 ROBOT 2.0 is available in a variety of colours and sizes (M-580mm, L-600mm, XL-620mm), catering to different rider preferences and needs.
Commenting on the launch, Rajeev Kapur, Managing Director of Steelbird Helmets, highlighted the importance of safety, referencing the World Health Organization’s 2023 Global Status Report on Road Safety. “High-quality helmets can reduce the risk of death by over six times and mitigate the risk of brain injury by up to 74%,” he noted. “With every new launch, we strive to push the boundaries of helmet safety. The SBH-35 ROBOT 2.0 is designed to provide riders with top-notch protection, comfort, and style, featuring Italian design and the highest safety standards.”
