Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, on 7th December, introduced the new Burgman Street EX in India. This 125cc premium scooter has been priced at ₹1,12,300 (ex-showroom). This scooter is armed with the new Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha (SEP-α) engine, Engine Auto Stop-Start (EASS) system and Silent Starter System.
The new Burgman Street EX is powered by a 125cc engine with FI technology. The SEP-α engine is the further advanced version of Suzuki Eco Performance Technology to provide high fuel efficiency with good acceleration. The technology is coupled with EASS, whose function is to automatically shut down the engine to reduce idling of the engine and restart it as soon as the rider throttles. This reduces fuel consumption and emissions. This is particularly beneficial at traffic lights and stop-and-go traffic, the company said in media release.
Starting the All New Burgman Street EX will be very smooth and quiet, as this premium Suzuki scooter gets the New Silent Starter System. It works in conjunction with EASS to silently re-start the engine when the rider turns on the throttle to continue riding.
The new Burgman Street EX comes with a 12-inch rear tyre wheel (30.48 cm with 100/80-12 tyre profile), which is wider, bigger and more luxurious. The larger diameter wheel helps in improved city riding efficiency. It comes in three colour options of Metallic Matte Platinum Silver No. 2, Metallic Royal Bronze and Metallic Matte Black No. 2.

Apart from the powerful engine, Burgman Street EX gets the Suzuki Ride Connect which comes with the Bluetooth enabled digital console that gives the convenience of synchronizing with the rider’s mobile phone seamlessly with the vehicle to provide features such as turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call, SMS and WhatsApp Alert display, missed call and unread SMS alert, speed exceeding warning, phone battery level display and estimated time of arrival. The console is easy to connect and can be paired with both Android and iOS phones, the release added.
