BMW Motorrad India has launched the all-new BMW CE 02 in the country. This all-electric model is available at BMW Motorrad India dealerships from today onwards.
The all-new BMW CE 02 has been developed in Munich, Germany by BMW Motorrad and will be produced in Hosur, India by cooperation partner TVS Motor Company.

The all-new BMW CE 02 is designed to be nimble, practical, and robust, embodying a minimalist aesthetic. Its design reflects freedom and light-heartedness, akin to a skateboard, particularly evident in the seat design. The disc wheels highlight its proportions, while the LED lights and indicators serve as a design standout. The striking Cosmic Black serves as the base color, complemented by a granite grey metallic matte for the motor cover, creating an exciting contrast between matte and glossy surfaces. This simplified design also allows for ample customization options.
Weighing only 142 kg and featuring a seat height of just 745 mm, the CE 02 offers playful handling suited for urban environments. The chassis comprises a torsionally rigid double-loop frame made of tubular steel, with hydraulically damped telescopic forks at the front and a single-sided swingarm paired with a directly pivoted shock absorber at the rear. Wide tires on cast aluminum wheels with disc designs provide reliable braking performance, enhanced by BMW Motorrad ABS at the front. Adjustable hand levers allow riders to tailor the reach to their preferences, while the footrests offer two riding positions: a relaxed stance on the rider footrests or a sporty position on the pillion footrests.
Equipped with the special HIGHLINE package, the CE 02 showcases a vibrant and bold appearance. Gold-anodized forks and tape designs, combined with a contrasting Petrol color, lend the bike a dynamic and futuristic look, even when stationary. Smart features include a Bluetooth interface, SP Connect smartphone holder, Additional Flash riding mode, a 1.5 kW quick charger, and heated grips.
Powered by a current-excited synchronous motor, the all-new BMW CE 02 is equipped with two air-cooled lithium-ion batteries, delivering an operating voltage of 48 V and a total energy capacity of 3.9 kWh. It boasts a maximum power output of 11 kW, offering an exhilarating riding experience. With a top speed of 95 km/h, it performs well on expressways, and its range of 108 km (as per ICAT) makes it suitable for extended urban adventures. The powerful motor generates 55 Nm of torque from a standstill, enabling the CE 02 to accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in just 3 seconds.
The all-new BMW CE 02 features a user-friendly 3.5” micro TFT display that provides the rider with essential information, including riding speed and battery charge status. A USB-C charging socket allows you to power your smartphone on the go. Through the BMW Motorrad Connected app, you can track the estimated charging completion time via Bluetooth connectivity. In the HIGHLINE variant, the cradle mode enables safe control of the BMW Motorrad app on your smartphone (when secured in a holder) using the handlebar keypad as an additional display.
The electric reverse gear makes maneuvering effortless, even in tight spaces. With Keyless Ride, you can simply hop on and go. To enhance mobility and flexibility, the CE 02 includes a special power-saving mode that alerts and assists riders when the battery level is critically low.
For added safety, the BMW Motorrad Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is equipped on the front wheel. In conjunction with Automatic Stability Control (ASC), the Recuperation Stability Control (RSC) effectively minimizes drag torque during overrun mode, ensuring the vehicle remains stable.
