The two concept models―the SUV-type FT-3e and the sporty FT-Se―will present a future transformed by electrification and intelligence, along with the new experience value offered by cars.

Toyota believes that future mobility will go beyond providing physical transportation tools to becoming a lifestyle partner closely aligned with each customer’s individual values. Alongside the highly responsive controls and captivating designs unique to BEVs, these models evolve into one-of-a-kind cherished vehicles by offering the joy of personal ride customization, as well as convenient functions for stress-free browsing of local area information while onboard.

FT-3e: This is a next-generation BEV concept model, designed to enhance customers’ daily lives with innovative technologies that deliver new driving experiences and personalized services. In addition to its role as a mode of transportation, the FT-3e plays a pivotal role in achieving carbon neutrality. It serves as a conduit for energy and data transfer between the vehicle and its surroundings.

Design-wise, the FT-3e blends advanced styling and aesthetics while maintaining a simple and sleek body profile. Digital displays seamlessly run from the lower side of the body to the upper door, providing vital information like battery charge status, onboard temperature, and interior air quality as the driver approaches the vehicle.

FT-Se: As a high-performance sports BEV model, the FT-Se is presented as a choice for sports car enthusiasts in the carbon-neutral era. Leveraging Toyota’s expertise gained through TOYOTA GAZOO Racing’s motorsports efforts to continually improve car performance, this model focuses on handling stability and aerodynamic prowess. Interestingly, the FT-Se shares major components with the FT-3e, allowing it to grow alongside the driver through software updates.

In terms of design, the FT-Se boasts of wide and low proportions, reducing aerodynamic drag and contributing to its sporty appeal. The next-generation cockpit is designed to offer intuitive controls and a more immersive driving experience, with a low instrument panel profile ensuring excellent visibility. Newly designed kneepads add protection against G-forces during spirited driving.

Toyota is committed to “Achieving Zero,” solving societal issues and environmental impacts. They are also looking “Beyond Zero” to improve lives and society for the future, the company said.
