Atul Auto appoints K. C. Vora as Independent Director for three-year term

With more than four decades of experience across the automotive industry and academia, Vora brings deep expertise in engineering, research, and electric vehicle technologies.

Atul Auto has appointed K. C. Vora as an Additional Director designated as a Non-Executive Independent Director on its board, effective March 15, 2026.

The appointment was approved by the company’s board during its meeting held on March 14, 2026, following the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, according to a regulatory filing. Vora’s appointment will be for a three-year term, subject to shareholder approval in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Currently, Vora serves as Program Director – Automotive Centre of Excellence at NAMTECH, located at the IIT Gandhinagar Research Park. He brings over four decades of experience spanning the automotive industry and academia.

During his career, Vora has worked with several prominent organisations, including Walchandnagar Industries, Emitec, Mahindra & Mahindra, and the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). He retired from ARAI in 2021 as Senior Deputy Director and Head of ARAI Academy.

In addition, Vora serves as a consultant to the Automotive Skills Development Council, where he chairs the expert group on electric vehicles.

A respected academic and industry expert, Vora has authored more than 120 technical papers, written four books, and holds four patents related to automotive engineering and technology.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya, a Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, and a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
